The annual Underwood Photography baby photo contest raised hundreds of dollars this year for the American Red Cross of the Northern Miami Valley Chapter’s to provide essential services to its communities.  The annual contest draws an appreciative audience and a crib full of participants from the Northern Miami Valley .  The contest began in March, coinciding with Red Cross month and was open to all babies born during 2010.  All babies were photographed at Underwood Photography.

With each $10 donation, the baby photos were taken and posted with others Baby at Susies’ Big Dipper, Readmore’s Hallmark and Underwood Photography Studio in Piqua, Ohio .  The winning photos were selected by popular vote (cast through a monetary donation) for their favorite baby photo.  Winners received cash prizes as well as a Journey Eurotech travel system donated by Evenflo of Piqua.

“Participants were excited and people are happy to place votes each year for the baby contest because all the proceeds go to a good cause.” said Diane Underwood, owner of Underwood Photography.  “We are so pleased that we had such a great response this year” 

“Underwood Photography’s baby photo contest is a wonderful goodwill community event.  The money raised helps our volunteers assist others during times of disaster.  The Northern Miami Valley Chapter, which serves Miami and Shelby counties appreciates the strong support from businesses like Underwood Photography,” stated R. Scott Miller, Executive Director.  Plans are underway for the 12^th Annual Contest in March of 2012.
